Hypnotherapy is a natural process of tapping into the power of your own mind to achieve your personal or vocational self-improvement goals.  Many people think of hypnotherapy only for use with habits such as quitting smoking or losing weight.  While it certainly is good for those, the power of your mind has no limits for personal application.

As a Hypnotherapist, I work with an almost endless array of achievement goals.  In some cases a medical referral may be required for issues of pain management and other psychological or medical related issues.  If you are already working with another counseling professional or have goals beyond personal self-improvement, then I may ask for a referral from the appropriate medical or psychology professional.

What is Hypnotherapy?

Hypnotherapy utilizes hypnosis, which is a focused state of awareness where your body is fully relaxed, but the mind is still awake. This state allows the therapist to access your subconscious mind where the positive change you desire for yourself can start to take shape through the use of hypnotic suggestions.

Hypnosis is a completely natural state. In fact, we all go in and out of hypnosis throughout our day. Have ever been driving down the street and missed your turn? Or, been deeply absorbed in your favorite movie and forgot you are actually in a room with other people watching a projected image of actors on screen? Perhaps you’ve also zoned out and daydreamed while someone was talking to you.  All of these are all examples of being in a state called environmental hypnosis.

How much do the sessions cost?

My hypnotherapy services start at $150 per session.

Is it true that some people are not hypnotizable?

No. All people are hypnotizable, but not all people have the same suggestibility. In your first consultation, I conduct a suggestibility questionnaire to best create the most significant and powerful changes in mental programming. 

Can Hypnotherapy help me quit smoking?

Yes, I use the natural state of hypnosis to give new hypnotic suggestions that cigarettes are not your friend. Using my 6-week smoking cessation program you can become a permanent ex-smoker.

Will you make me bark like a dog?

No. In hypnotherapy the goal is to help you reach self-improvement goals. You are in a private setting and I will not hypnotize you to display any form of odd behavior such as barking like a dog.

Can Hypnotherapy help me get over a breakup?

Yes, with listening and hypnotic suggestions I can help you get over a breakup and a failed relationship.

Will I lose control when I am in hypnosis?

Absolutely not. Hypnotherapy is a way of giving you more control, not less. You can’t be hypnotized unwillingly, and you can’t be prompted to do anything that is outside of your moral code or say or reveal anything you don’t want to.

Will you hypnotize me to do something I’m not comfortable doing?

Absolutely not, I will never make you do anything you are not comfortable doing. And if you ever become uncomfortable during a session I will bring you out of hypnosis.

Yes. Hypnotherapy can help with depression. Depending on the severity, I might need a referral from another therapist or medical professional.

Yes, I do practice Past Life Regression therapy.

Yes. With hypnotherapy I can help you work towards a desired weight goal by using hypnotic suggestions. I also give general nutritional advice.
